Easy Online Check-In and Driver Assessment
Our online check-in system gathers patient information and begins the diagnosis process with an obstructive sleep apnea evaluation to provide our physicians with information about the driver's sleep habits. (If you like, our system can be integrated with your company website, so drivers check-in on your website instead of ours.)
Home Sleep Apnea Verification Test
After your driver completes the patient information and OSA Risk Evaluation, we will contact him/her to make arrangements to deliver the Home Sleep Test. They will use the home sleep test for one night and then ship it back to us. Unlike in-lab sleep studies, our home sleep testing devices function in the comfort of the driver's home at a fraction of the cost. Our home sleep testing devices provide results that are accepted throughout the medical field. Click here to learn more about home sleep tests
Physician Diagnosis
Our physicians will evaluate the results of your driver's home sleep test. If your driver does NOT have Obstructive Sleep Apnea, we will send a letter from our physician with the test results. If the test shows that your driver DOES have sleep apnea, they will continue to the treatment step of the process. Occasionally the home sleep test may identify problems other than sleep apnea or not be conclusive. On those rare occasions, a laboratory study might be required.
Treatment with APAP (Auto-Adjusting CPAP)
If your driver is diagnosed with sleep apnea, we will provide them with a sleep therapy device called APAP, or Auto-Adjusting Positive Airway Pressure. This device aids in proper breathing while your driver sleeps, and eliminates the apnea. We only use APAP devices. Unlike the older CPAP devices, APAPs automatically adjust for lifestyle changes such as weight loss or gain, alcohol consumption, smoking, sleep positions, etc. This automation provides a more effective solution and eliminates the need for repeated doctor visits to adjust the CPAP for lifestyle changes. Insuring Compliance with Physician Instructions
The APAP devices we use for treatment include data collection capabilities. The device records the results of it's use. From that data, our technicians can determine if the driver is using the device, if the device is working properly, and most importantly, if the treatment is effective. If we spot an issue, we will automatically contact the driver to resolve the problem. Most often, treatment fails as a result of an improper fitting mask. We provide a 'fit-right' guarantee, that removes the mask as a potential problem from the beginning, and significantly improves compliance.
Department of Transportation Documentation
We provide all of the 'Proof of Treatment' paperwork needed by the Department of Transportation with regards to renewal of Commercial Drivers Licenses or DOT Physicals.
Status Reporting
You need to know that your drivers are successfully being treated for sleep apnea. We provide you with reports on a regular basis that include which drivers have been tested, which need to be tested, which drivers are being treated for sleep apnea, and if the treatment is effective.
Ongoing Management
Once a driver begins treatment, they will have ongoing needs for items such as replacement masks, tubes, filters, and other items that must be replaced from time to time. We also manage this process, making it easy for your drivers to get the supplies they need to insure a lifetime of successful treatment and better health.
